In the running shoes...again! and how to beat procrastination!

Oh.. it has been a long time since my last post..hmmm...all my recent post seems to start with this sentence?! Not good... But laziness + busyness took over me..and I'm trying my best to escape from those two things...

Work has been quite busy and took all my energies...Eventhough I'm trying to live a normal life: pursuing my goals and interests, etc...

Few years ago I set a goal to run half-marathon in Berlin in spring 2013. At that time 2013 was far away..plenty of time to reach to year 2012 ...I thought.. Soon 2012 is going to end and I just got myself pulled together to get into the running shoes ...again..after a very loong gap and started on my training schedule which I got from one of my colleague who has run lot of marathons, New York and Copenhagen..just to mention few.

Well I wanted to share the training schedule here is anyone should be interested :)
5km (run, walk whatever, just have to go through the 5km) twice a week for 1 whole month.
7.5km (run, walk whatever, just have to go through the 7.5km) twice a week in the 2nd month.
10km (run, walk whatever, just have to go through the 10km) twice a week in the 3rd month.

Then I should have almost 3 months left to train for a half-marathon programme :)
Well I'm pretty behind my schedule...got my 5km done this week..33min. & 57sec.
The best time ever has been 29.05 few years ago..so I have lot to catch up this week and coming many weeks...But I know I will get it done...at least this time.. I may admit, I like the feeling getting things done and achieve my goals....and I enjoy it.. and I'm enjoying running or better say jogging as one of my other colleague said to me once: if it takes more than 30minutes to run 5km it is not called running, it is walking!!! lol..

Let me update this blog very soon with a better time ..lol
Till that... look into this:
My no 1 guru is talking about how to beat procrastination....Please watch the whole video!! You'll love it for sure!

Mini holiday in London incl. a trip to Walsingham Church

I'm back in Denmark again after a mini holiday in London visiting my relatives, doing Indian saree shopping, visiting the Shrine church in Walsingham on an annual Tamil pilgrimage day and not least being awake till 4-5am just talking and playing cards :).

My aunt invited me to London this summer especially to take part in the annual pilgrimage day in Walsingham. I visited Walsingham the very first time back in 2004, and now visiting the church after 8 years. Thousands of people visits the church on this day in July, and you need to queue up for a very long time before you can get into the Shrine Church, light a candle and offer a prayer. During the long wait you can write your prayers on a paper given by the church and the prayers will be offered (I assume) the very same day?.

I like the thought offering a prayer however it was bit tough to write any immediately. After a little while it was easy to write great thanks for all the good things in our life. Sometimes we do not appreciate all the good things we have till we see how other people are suffering in their lives. Isn't it little weird that we do need situations to appreciate or give a thought of how amazingly gifted we are? We put the autopilot on and sometimes relax too much to see how amazingly our life unfolds in front of us. I'm constantly telling me to be aware of the precious life every day but 75% of the time I fall back and get into "the routines" and take things for granted.

Anyways, I want to share this link, if you are interested put your prayer in the form given in the link below and your prayer will be offered in the Shrine Church: http://www.walsinghamanglican.org.uk/the_shrine/prayer_devotions.htm

I may also remember this UK visit for another reason:: I bought my very own idly cooker :)
My mom has offered me to take one of her idly cookers but somehow I felt they were not the right size, and when I came across this little mini cooker in Alperton I couldn't ignore it. A cooker for 8 idly, doesn't it sound little cute, lol.
...and with a steamer plate to make all other Indian/Sri Lankan food. Now I don't have any excuse not to prepare tasty South Indian/Sri Lankan food.
Now I need to try some recipe. Did I write that idly is one of my favourite dishes??
I read that it will need some experience before you get the soft idly. We will see how it goes for me as I'm planning to prepare the idly batter tomorrow and make some idly Saturday morning for a real South Indian breakfast.

Finally I pulled myself together to write a post on my blog after a very long time. I got some plans for the nearest future and blogging is the best way keeping one sticked to the plans and be committed. Admitted... that it is embarrassing to say something and not follow up on it. I usually run away, not anymore!

Have a nice evening.

Having off tomorrow, what a good feeling to know that while others go to work I can hang around in my apartment doing what I really want to do... I should take more off in the future :D

Good night!

Lady gang in India

It has been a while since my last post... Feels like it has been ages since I have typed some words on my blog.
During the Easter holidays I eargerly wanted to write few posts, but the desire did not develop into more than the thought.
I told myself to write a longer post soon. But today is not the day for it as time is scarce.
Yesterday I came across an article about some ladies from villages in Northern India. They have formed a gang - a gang against injustice, abusive men, child marriages, dowry etc. You may picture how bad these ladies may have been treatened by their society since their frustrations, anger and eager to see justice have been some of the reasons why they formed a gang against the discrimining rules and the traditions in the society.

Read about the pink lady gang here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7068875.stm

It is little too good to be true..isn't it?.. I'm very much impressed, indeed!

Have a good night.

Dig in one's heels

Today I got the preparation schedule for a 10km race from the chairman for the running club in the work place. He is sitting opposite my work desk so it is kind of good motivation I receive on a daily basis. I'm little confused whether I should be thankful or hit him - told him the thought also. But I may be honest and say I really really would love to get started running, but I'm so lazy.
Now the schedule is printed and dates fixed to get the test races in place, it is hard to not jump into those running shoes and start breathing some freshness of Spring 2012.
14 weeks to the 10km race, sounds reasonable - if I train 2-3 times per week. (3 times pr. week is proposed on the schedule..hmm)

So I thought toay was an important milestone to remember if I get started soon, and writing on this blog is such a good idea to motivate oneself into getting the writing done in real, so here is the 10km preparations for others who may be interested:

On Danish, sorry: http://www.loberen.dk/om-at-lobe/tr%C3%A6ningsprogrammer

Spring 2012 and "a change"

First day in Spring 2012.
Just the thought is enough to bring good spirit into one's mind.
My favourite season of the year. Everything starts over again. A new life, so much beauty sprout from the earth and the buds are irresistible - the combination with flowers and buds are the most prettiest sight during Spring.

Past few years I wanted to buy the boughs full of buds from the flourist shop, however I missed it every Spring.
Last Tuesday I found some boughs full of rosy buds...Finally I took time to buy them...
Most of the buds started to bloom...Attached a picture in the name of Spring 2012 :)

It has been a while since I posted on my blog, I know I wnated to write everyday, but lately time was not well planned.
Getting started with the Bruce Lipton book today...
And by the way the Warren Buffet's biography is really good - the first few chapters I have read so far. Give it a try.
I believe the whole book would be wonderful to read during a holiday with plenty of time for relaxation.
Easter may be the next long holiday...Better get the plan done now than regretting I haven't used the holidays in a good way.

I have always been fond of reading, but for many years I have neglected the reading... Past few years I have been reading the motivational books (98% I quess :) ..This year is dedicated for some other areas.
Finding the time for the reading is tough, really tough... It is already 1st of March 2012. Time is really running with high speed. It is about planning all the way if you want to have some benefit of the time which is really scarce.
The not good news is that I do not really do any major stuff... Eventhough time is scarce. Unbelievable.

It is said that one should write down all the week plans, maybe I should write more of my plans down, so I can stick to them.

Today I came across a short movie called "Change for a dollar". See what little action is really needed to make a change in people's life. But most of the time we are "busy" being "busy" that we do not register the small actions we could do to help others have a better day. I wish I was more aware of the moments, instead of rushing from one thing/ place to another, and do not have time to see what is happening around. I may say I do see the sweet smile on a child's face, the love between couples, parents and children, friends, but it only happens when I take time to notice all the nice things around me.
Watch the movie below:

Anyways, enough of my thoughts...
Need some 10 hours sleep!!!
Enjoy the boughs and buds and flowers below:)

Have an amazing evening out there...

Planning...

Why is planning tough? Once planned, sticking to the plans and the time schedule is more tough...
I recall that I already wrote a post re planning, and how much I am struggling..It seems like I felt back again... anyways..need to get up and stick to the plans :)

Attached a photo of the Tulips ...Liek the way they seek towards the heat from the television...
Take a look.

What really matters is what you do while you are alive here on earth!

Have nothing to write today...but just to count the numbers of days passed in this year 2012... This post...lol

Oh by the way I have used the Lebara Mobile simcard but never knew that the company is founded by three Tamils. The company is worth for billions, and it is just amazing that our Tamils succeeded in making businesses worth billions. Just amazing. Hats off for those guys!!!
I wish more Tamils would stand out like this inthe coming years!!!

Lebara mobiles has also founded a trust to help children in India/Sri Lanka. Another amazing action. Today I read in a Dansh newspaper where one of the founders said that what really counts is what we do while we live here. "We came with nothing and we go away with nothing" he also said. True words, just amazed that people follow what is told in BhagavatGhita.

Have a good night.

Chase your dreams no matter what surroundings are telling you...

Weekend is almost over, hope you had/are having an amazing weekend.
During my cleaning in my old papers and notes I found a A5 paper with following sentences:
"What do I like to do"
"Which talents do I want to improve"

Above those lines were few other lines written along with a name in parantheses "(Richard Carlson)". To be honest I do not remember when I have written this, whether the above two questions are read in any of Richard Carlson's writings. But the funny thing was that I found this piece of paper today noon and watched the Tamil movie "Nanban" this evening to find out that the movie tells the very same message which is: Do what your heart likes to do. What a coincident!
(The Tamil version is a remake of Hindi movie "3 idiots", haven't seen that movie yet).

Treat to see that the messages in the movie, it is really a worth watch for the 3 hours the movie lasts. I may admit it is a quite long time but you will not get bored at all. Some scenes are really well done that you can not hold your laughter back. You will burst out in huge laughters for sure.
After long time I enjoyed a Tamil movie, a real entertainer and at same time sending a message or more to the audience about:
- Happiness
- Love
- Success
- Friendship
- Courage
- Believe
- Attitude
- Life in all which should be faced with an "All is Well"-attitude.
The word "true" can be put in front of all the words above and that is what the movie is about.
Moreover the movie is about choosing the life you really want within your heart and take action towards it. Really a treat to see one's belief in a movie.
Especially the subject choosing the field of your interest when choosing your studies or area of work is handled very well. Among Tamil people, (I believe it is a general subject among Asians also) it has been "trendy" to choose subjects which are respected in the society rather than chasing your dream.
Luckily I am in a family who do not have any objections regarding their children's choice of work field. I also guess that Tamil people are getting better to choose from their heart these days, the one issue left may be that youngsters (not their parents) choose the subjects due to reputation on a specific subject rather than taking time to find out what their field of interest is. Sometimes I have been asking my self whether I am in the right field, but at each thought I give, I may admit I like my field: Structural Engineering... Just have to put more focus on it to see some excellence in the results ...lol :)
And also do not forget that it is never too late to change the lanes according to your heart even you are 10, 20, 30, 40 , 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 or 100 or more:) Do not let age or your current situation be a hinder to follow your dream! Mind it always!

Watch the movie, think about the messages, and be happy you already are living what is told in that movie :-)

Wishing you all an extraordinary week ahead in your work/studies.

Attached a picture from last week taken by my mobile, My favourite candles, actually don't know the English name for this type of candles, but it is called "spindelvævslys" or "blondelys" in Danish.

Pfaff Ambition 1.5

I went to a sewing machine shop today to have a look on a Pfaff Ambition 1.0. After having used little time on which brand and type of model will suits my needs sewing ethnic garments especially very thin fabrics, I found Pfaff as the brand which could meet my sewing needs. Phaff is welknown for their IDT (Integrated Dual Feed) feature which means that the fabric is fed from bottom but also from top. This gives a really good finish. I tried to sew on a thin fabric at the shop. First without the IDT and then with the IDT. The results were really amazing. I have sewn in thin fabrics using my mom's old Singer machine. It is really hard to feed the thin fabric evenly and the result would also be a little crumpled. The difference could be felt today :)

The Ambition 1.0 was out of stock - seems like it is a very popular model. The differents between 1.0 and 1.5 are only that the latter one have a touch screen and a bobbin thread sensor. For me the last two thing were not that important that I would pay 200$ extra for these features.
However I ended trying the 1.5 model as the 1.0 was out of stock. And it seems quite easy with the touch screen actually. You get a stick/pin which makes it easy to do the selections.
The personnel in the shop were nice to let me try few features, and showed how it worked. :)
I was impressed by the features... Lot of things happened in the sewing machine world since I have tried my mom's old Singer machine for years, I may admit.

The good news was that since 1.0 was out of stock they offered the 1.5 to the very same price as the 1.0 :)
Now I was in real trouble, I never planned to buy a sewing machine for more than 1000kr (approx 200$). But at same time I already had seen that it would be tough to get a cheaper sewing machine to fulfill my needs. Hence I only wanted "to have a look" today.

Sometimes you shall pay for the value, and I decided to buy one right there in the shop.
I ordered the Ambition 1.5 based on the 40 minutes trial I had in the shop and also based on my search on the net past few days. Now waiting for it to be delivered :)

Now the sewing machine is in place, I need to overcome any laziness and lay it on the shelves and get started to create what I have longed for so many years. Make my own sarees :)

I hope he is certainly right!

"The Snowball - Warren Buffet and the Business of Life"

Picked up the book "The Snowball - Warren Buffet and the Business of Life" at the library today. Made the reservation few weeks ago and got the email today that the book was arrived. The weekend will be relaxed with this book once I get home after the sewing machine hunt tomorrow.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Buffett

Warren Buffet:
"A public-opinion poll is no substitute for thought"

"Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken."

"I always knew I was going to be rich. I don't think I ever doubted it for a minute."
"I don't look to jump over 7-foot bars: I look around for 1-foot bars that I can step over."
"It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently."

"It's better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behavior is better than yours and you'll drift in that direction."

"Only buy something that you'd be perfectly happy to hold if the market shut down for 10 years."

"Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing."

"Price is what you pay. Value is what you get."

I think I have chosen him before as today's person of my choice, but he said something nice, hence I have copy pasted those nice quotes.

Have an amazing evening!

Taking up challenges...

I always wanted other people to face their problems. But I've realised that most people use to escape from challenges, problems, obstacles in their lives including myself. It is so easy to flee away from everything in stead of facing the big issues.
But you know what, it is much better and easier if you can hold yourself a little longer on the same spot and try to figure out how to solve the challenge/problem/obstackle arisen, you will feel much much better afterwards than if you have escaped from the spot right after the challenge/problem/obstackle has arisen.

Let me say, it will feel like you really are strugling in the time frame starting from the minute you are aware of the challenge/problem/obstackle till you take the decision to be on the spot to find a solution.
As the solution is not obvious it is tough to convince yourself to be in your current situation. The easiest solution would be to decide escaping from the situation. Most of us are an average human being, and of course we choose the easiest way out without thinking what comes next. The minute the easy solution comes to our mind, we stick to it as it is glued to our mind and vision. And we can not get ourselves away from it - another thought which is always accompanied by the easy escape-thought.

We get stressed, we get frustrated, irritated, find thousands of other reasons for justify our escape plans, but do not use a little percentage of the effort put on useless thoughts on constructive thoughts. Why? Because we have made certain things/thinking become our habits. Nothing else. I believe that if we just take a little more time to relax and tell ourselves that it took few thousands attempts for Thomas Alva Edison before he invented the electric bulb, we will understand that it is ok that we do not have the solution right in the hand when problems occur. All what matters is that we are willing to be in the spot and look for solutions. If the will is there, we will certainly be able to find a solution.
...That we get wiser day by day, only makes the electric bulb working better and better :)
Be aware of this, and issues will fade away as quick as they seem to arise.

One quote I really like very much is:
"It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer." - Albert Einstein

...joy's soul lies in the doing."

I noticed that the numbers of post for this year is equal to the number of the day ran out in this year...meaning...
- can easily count how many days of this year is gone...really a new view on how quick days flies away...not that much of a happy news though...
- can see that I write something every day..lol

When you don't want to write or have nothing to write, this kind of nonsense can be written ..Now you know !!!

Making patterns over and over and over...

Sometimes you go to the shoppingcenters on a Saturday, buy those things you think you will use almost every day and also think that you really need them. You get a great satisfaction the moment you buy those things, come home and put the shopping bags on the couch or table or whereever you find it convenient to place them, and relax a little bit and start you usual routines doing everything else than unpacking the bought things. Sometimes days pass away before you open the shopping bags and find time to remove the price tags. Sometimes you just hang those clothes in the wardrobe even without removing the price tags.
I have done lot of this kind of shopping for years. This year I decided not to such shopping. Somehow I fell back in the habit last weekend and bought a gymball and a yoga matt saying to myself that I will get started doing the exercises right away. I quess a week or two passed by, and I haven't even used the things till now. This evening I decided to pull myself together and do those exercises which are really good for your back and stomach.
What a relief after doing those exercises... The posture will be corrected soon :)

I went to the sewing class today. That was really good. I cut out a pattern for the saree blouse after Burda pattern no 7701, and cut the pieces in a fabric. Stitched them together, herafter my teacher adjusted the blouse and pinned the exessive material, and draw few lines on the blouse, etc. I draw a new pattern out of the corrections made on the blouse, cut new pieces of fabric and stitched them together. When finishing the latter part the time also ran out. And I will try the new blouse next time, so my teacher can tell whether we have a final pattern or need to adjust more. This is a time consuming process, lot of preparations need to be done, before a final pattern  is made to your measures. But I believe the final result will be satisfying that all hours spent will be valuable.

Herefter I can focus on adding sleeves. This is really a big project :)

Today I also found a salwar kameez picture on net, which dupatta had the right colour combinations I want to   use in my saree design. Two really nice colours combined, And I can not wait to get the sewing machine to stitch my new sarees !!!

Oh by the way I totally forgot to write the titles of the sewing books I borrowed at the library last Friday:
"Sy selv - grundbogen" & "Sy selv, i specialstoffer" (Danish)
"Sewing Essentials" & "Sewing Specialty Fabrics" by Singer Sewing Reference Library.
More books in this series!!

Maalayil yaaro...

Have been busy seeing the X-factor tv programme, and reading about sewing techniques in a very nice sewing book. I will write down the book title and authors tomorrow. Actually it is a series of 16 or 18 books. I borrowed the basic one and two others useable for my initial works. I took sewing class when I was in 9th grade, optional version. So most of the techniques were forgotten in the past 16 years. It was good to see some techniques I already knew, and some new ones, and few of those "aahh it is done this way, ok!"-relief expressions. Lol

Today's person of my choice: Swarnalatha

She was the person I really wanted to hear sing live, but I never took any effort to buy tickets for any of her concerts. And one day it was too late. What an amazing voice.

Need planning...

I have been on a search about learning few sewing techniques, and came across very good videos, of course on the youtube.com. Time has been little, need to stick to my plans in the evening. Need some discipline!!!
Already Thursday tomorrow. Can not believe time and weekdays are flying away.
I found few blouses, blouse materials, and a georgette saree to my sewing class on Sunday. I need to plan where I'm going to start. I also found unstitched chiduthar fabrics and patterns for salwars kameez bought from Burda.

Seriously it is bit difficult to find out where to start, but I think I will ask the teacher to help me cut a pattern to make a saree blouse. Dedicate the first day to the long waited blouse stitching :-)
I'm prety sure the teacher will be able to teach me one or two techniques makign the blouse perfect!

Today I was sooo close to skip the post, but I said to myself, no!
Finding quotes from today's person is so motivating and inspiring because you surf through so many nice quotes that it will be a pity stopping today's person of my choice.
This blogging is really a challenge to overcome my laziness, and see what perseverance can result in if laziness is conquered!

How to make flower garland

Thanks once more to those founders of the youtube.com.

Today I went to temple I had to bring a flower garland because of some nerthi. Thanks to the youtube I found a video showing how to make flower garland. It became a beautiful garland, of white, purple and red chrysanthemum flowers.

The video I watched to learn the techniques ares here:
http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=1ZzwZjoDzk4

I decided to make more flower garlands in the future and bring them to temple.
2+2+2 bouquets of chryshantemums (5 Do you call them boughs?, in each bouquet) is more than enough to make the garland. I made one for the Pillayar main statue in Herning Temple, approx 50cm long doubled.

Chicken Soup for the Soul books

Today's person of my choice: Jack Canfield
...for his series of the chicken soup for the soul books.

"I'm a big believer in growth. Life is not about achievement, it's about learning and growth, and developing qualities like compassion, patience, perseverance, love, and joy, and so forth. And so if that is the case, then I think our goals should include something which stretches us."

My brother-in-law had one of his chicken soup for the soul book, I borrowed it and was touched by the stories in the book. And bought one for my self. Yet haven't returned the one I borrowed from my brorher-in-law.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Canfield

Jack Canfield is also in the book called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and the movie of the same name. He explains how he made his dreams come true and living the life of his dreams.

Stop by one book store and get yourself one copy of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. You will like the stories and will be touched as I did, I bet!!

Take care!

Ps: Today I got an email stating there is a vacant place on the sewing course I applied for Tuesday evening. The course start next Sunday, and I look so much forward to get started!!!!! :)

...things done, when felt deep within the heart, are destined to be great!

First month of 2012 is almost over. Time is flying by with high speed. I think this month is the most effective and focussed month ever in my life. Lot of things have changed into better, and many first steps are taken in new areas and projects. It is really nice to see that I have used most of the days very useful:-)

End of January means pay check, so I skipped yoga and went to do some shopping...lol

Though I bought some fitness equipment: A gym ball so I can get rid of this stomach and also to do the exercises my physiotherapist has outlined for me.
Furthermore I added a heating pad to my shopping bag...I may say, it is really nice wellness laying with the heating pad beneath the shoulders. Everyone should have such a pad :)

I have been on a search for an exfoliator for years. Ole Henriksen brand use to be quite good. But I got this one from Origins recommended by one of my friend. And damn it is the ebst one I have used so far.
It is called "Modern Friction" and is from Origins. You can find it for body also. However I only purchased the face exfoliator.

...And of course I wanted to use more money. I subscribed to a sewing course, 35 hours (5 Sundays) where you will get teached how to make your patterns made by measure, do nice finishing for the clothes, etc. What I really needed.
I will get to know if they have a vacant place available tomorrow only. So having my fingers crossed :)

Today's person of my choice: George Bernard Shaw
..."Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Bernard_Shaw
From the Wiki:
"He is the only person to have been awarded both a Nobel Prize for Literature (1925) and an Oscar (1938), for his contributions to literature and for his work on the film Pygmalion (adaptation of his play of the same name), respectively.[1] Shaw wanted to refuse his Nobel Prize outright because he had no desire for public honours, but accepted it at his wife's behest: she considered it a tribute to Ireland. He did reject the monetary award, requesting it be used to finance translation of Swedish books into English."

People who refuse public honours are really the great ones. I noticed, during this "read-about one-great-human-every-day-in-this-new-year-challenge" that several great people been awarded has rejected or wanted to reject the award. I really like his rejection of the monetary award.
You get a feel of the fact that people do their work because they really love it instead of doing it for acknowledgement and awards. That is really noteworthy!

A simple conclusion could be drawn by the above and likely a truth, that the things done, when felt deep within the heart, are destined to be great!

Have a nice day.
Ciao!

Thoreau: Live the life you've imagined.

Been little busy with my new project today...
:-)

Enjoy the flowers of week 3 in stead of a long post... lol

Today's person of my choice: Henry David Thoreau

..."Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler."

http://www.quotationspage.com/quotes/Henry_David_Thoreau

Wow he may have known how I feel these days :-)
It couldn't have been said more beautiful. You will need to feel it within you before you will understand how beautiful and amazing these lines are.

Being confident is when you feel ease and know that the result will be absolutely terrific.
When the desire is felt within, then confidence will guide you all the way to the destination.

Take Thoreau's lines: "Go confidently in the direction of your direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler." into you, and see whether you can feel the beauty of the sentence. Isn't it a good feel to know that you are living the life you have imagined?
:)

Sleep tight!

Bhagavat Gita in Danish too.

I have written a post every day as said 1st of January 2012 :)
Laziness is something I want to get rid of, that's why I decided to write post here every day. It is prety tough to share things every day on this blog. Hence it was the right exercise I have put myself into.
If the will is there, it is possible to conquer the laziness and get things done.

I am little proud now that I mastered to write so many posts so far. I have beaten both 2010 and 2011 numbers of posts on my blog :)

Friday evening I made an electronic mind map of the things to be done in the weekend. (I used the weekend plan as an exercise to try the mind map technique after a very long time.) I may say I have doen most of the things written in it.
Furthermore I have taken my idea of designing & creating my own sarees into the second level. I purchased the few items needed to learn hand embroidery techniques. I really look forward to get started soon!!!

Oh ... I also did design my very first saree, and found out, what colour it should be, what type of material to be used in the main area called body, and the border material, design, embroidery design, blouse colour, and design, and also wrote what I need to purchase to get the saree and blouse completely stitched and ready to use. Every little detail is 90% considerated and I only need to get the last 10% on a paper.

I decided to use my efforts on getting the border embroidery done at first, before moving to the whole saree.
Approximately 8.5metres of embroidered border will be needed for a saree, so I can look forward to many hours wit the embroidery tool!!!

I may admit, I look forward to it as a little kid looking out for some candy or a playground...ha ha lol.

For a very long time I wanted to read the Bhagavad Gita (considered as the Holy Book in Hinduism).
I requested my dad to buy one for me in Sri Lanka in 2005, and I havent read more than a few pages in it.
The book is written thousands of years ago, and all what the coaches and teachers preach about positivity and life is already written in this book. Being a Hindu and not knowing the whole contain in the Bhagavad Gita, ..no words to say about it... I need to repair that area soon. I just took the book out of the shelf... I have read to page 17. It will take me couple of months or more to get through the whole book.
Oh relief. The Bhavad Gita is also to be find in Danish version. Wow... I may get started with the that one first and then move to the Tamil version. I will look for the Danish version in my library website right away...

French Haute Couture Embroidery and Youtube

Yesterday I was busy writing a post about what I found in my piles of drawing and calculations on my desk at work. Yesterday I took few hours to clean up in my work emails (both in the inbox and the sent folders) and my desk. I had forgottten that the iPad battery was below 5% and suddenly everything was shut down.

Last year changes happened at work, and due to new departments, prject groups etc. we got to move to new places but on same floor. Before we all went on Christmas holidays we packed all our files and papers etc. in boxes, and after the holidays we settled on our new desks. I was too lazy to organize some drawing and calculations, so I just put everything on my desk when taking those things out of the boxes.
Finally yetserday I pulled myself together to organise the piles of papers and coudl see the colour of my desk :)

While organising I found notes taken from a course in "Better Planning in Your Work" I went to for 1 or 2 years ago. The main thing was about how to use some tools to make better planning of our tasks, both at work and at home. One of the tools was to use the mind mapping technique in almost everything, even when taking notes in a meeting, or having a paper with the most important notes and questions when attending an interview.
The mind map gives a quick overview, if it is used considerate and sensible.
We have used mind map technique before years back, but I never took it into anything. But this course gave me some fantastic keys to use the mind map techniques without thinking it is too comprehensive.
I also found a paper full of notes taken from a department meeting, where I used the meeting as a good opportunity to try the mind map techniques.
It works. But I may admit, I haven't implemented it fully in my way of working.

I give up too early, but after the discovery yesterday I said to myself to make things easy and simple as possible, and use the techniques from the course.

The very simple basic for a nice mind map is to use colour pens, CAPITAL LETTERS, maximum 3 words per line, figures and icons to each maintopic and/or subtopic to illustrate the contents.

You can find lot of books about the mind map techniques.
Also there are many elctronic version of mind maps. I found one app for my iPad yesterday called: "Mindjet"

For one day ago I wrote that I want to design my own sarees. So I took the idea of designing saree and made a nice mind map covering the idea. The outcome is really nice, and I am not finished yet. I have to pull out some subtopics and create new mind maps covering those to split the mind map in smaller pieces.

Today I used 3 hours in the morning to do a small "research" about how to get the embroideries done. The YouTube is such a helpful tool and I found all the videos containing free tutorials about what I needed to know about stitching/doing emebroidery etc., and to be confident that I am able to take my new hobby into the reality soon.

A helpful video I found is about the beading and embrodery techniques used in the French Haute Couture  embroideries. This technique is also called tambour beading: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBNzPgK0N30
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctalL88NMqM&feature=related

I have a drawer full of beads and threads from my teenage years where I was into doing necklaces etc. For years I have arked them away. And I think it is time to get those beads out and get started training the embroidery technique using the tambour needle.
Wow, how amazing would it be to design your own borders in colours and designs you prefer!

But I said to myself not to get started before having done my "research" very well. I need to be well prepared and considerated in this project. I really have this desire of designing sarees for years, and I don't want to get started for few weeks and park the hobby in a corner where it can gather dust like other hobby equipment I have purchased earlier when I was drawn by a sudden interest.

Today I talked to my cousin in Toronto, and we planned to pursue our desires and goals and get a perfect outcome in stead of this start and stopping in the middle - way of living.
What we have planned is to put some money and get to know to stitch really nice saree blouses. So by the end of this year we should be quite good in designing and stitching our saree blouses.
And I believe that we will be stitching regularly soon :)

An idea

Got an idea to get started making my own sarees from scratch...

Scratch means buying the basic items such as material, borders, etc and making my own style.
It has been a long time wish, but due to some laziness I never got started. I am so tired of the sarees which are online...not that much of selection I prefer. Even colours I prefer are in short supply. So if you can not get what you want, you have to make it by yourself! Very simple. And stop complaining!

For years back I have bought salwar materials in London. Maybe it is time to get started making some trials out of the cheap materials?!

The missing item is only a sewing-machine.
I may use this weekend to buy one in a secondhand shop. I dont want to put 2-3000DKR on a hobby I dont know whether I would do in the long term.

Will update with more about this after this weekend. Look so much forward to design my own sarees from fabrics and colours I like!!! :)

Today's person of my choice: Stephen R. Covey

I haven't read the book but came across it lot of time. This year it is one of the book on my to be read in 2012-booklist.

Scrapbook 1/4 full of dreams

Finally I took some time to make few pages in my Scrapbook.

I have printed so many wonderful pictures and quotes but did only few pages last year. I need to put some more energy and effort to finish more pages. But it is really hard to rush through it. You want to take the time needed to make it to an awesome bunch of energies which fill your heart every time you open it.

It is good to have the dreams and visions written down along with some beautiful pictures to make it easier for you to keep the focus and right direction towards what you really want to have and want to experience in your life. Otherwise it can easily be a jump here and there each and every day, and soon there will be no sign of any clear direction towards any of the dreams.

I took a picture of my Scrapbook and I may admit I am little proud of it. Attached below this post.
When I went to the shops to look for a scrapbook I wanted something I would like and the cover should be able to tell a story of what the whole book is containing, tell a beautiful story.
And yes I found the cover very appealing to tell my story.
It is actually a photo album without any thin tissues or plastic folders. Just plain and white inside and each pages is very thick and good to write on without the ink to be seen on the back side of the written page.

Bought in Magasin in DK for those who would like to buy a similar copy :)

Mandela's Way by Richard Stengel

Hi there,

I hope everything is fantastic with you guys. I had a very nice day at work where the hours passed by with ease. On a Monday, unbelievable right? I couldn't believe it either.
And catched all the task I had planned to finish today, and with ease went to zumba right after 16.15.
I wish every Monday would be like today from now on :D

I am reading "Mandela's Way! 15 lessons On Life, Love, & Courage" by Richard Stengel.

Really an inspiring book. Thanks to Stengel for writing such an amazing book, and Mandela for sharing his experiences. I only read the introduction few days ago, and the first chapter yesterday night. But it is already wonderful that I gladly recommend it.
Well already other people has recommended it for its inspiring lines. So go to the library or the book store and grab your version when you find some time for it.

I said to my self to read one chapter only a day. I really look forward to unfold what Mandela and Richard Stengel has hidden in chapter 2.
Chapter one was about courage. I don't want to get into what is said in it, but I may say I was amazed by the open and honest words by a man with so huge powers and strength not hesitating to talk about what he wished he could have done better, or talk about how frightened he was under some circumstances while other people thought he showed lot of courage.

Read it by yourself. It is better!!! Read it! Read it! Read it!!! :)

"...Try to become a man of value"

I may say I had a weekend full of laziness.
Even it felt good yesterday, it is not the best time spent. Sometimes you think you need to do nothing to be in balance :) but it not true! After wasting one weekend on nothing you will look back and regret. But don't. Nothing good to get from what is gone. Let it be and leave it there :)

Since last week I started a new tradition gifting my self a bouquet of flowers, so I can enjoy them during the weekend. It is really nice to have such beautiful flowers around especially during the winter time where we all need some extra energy to stay with the good mood and spirit.

Going to take an early birdie today to get up 5 am tomorrow morning..or let me say 5.30am. It is time to practice another new tradition and getting it into the routines.

How true!!
Not an easy task but possible, being patient may be the key word, and learning to walk on new inspiring paths can definitely take us there, to become a human of value!

Good night!

Be aware of your posture!

It is not that easy to be aware, keep the focus and attention on a specific thing. It has always been tough for me, I am aware of this as an issue but today I learned another lesson on how important it is to be aware at the moment.

Today's lesson is that I am facing health issues with my neck and shoulders simply because I am not putting enough of my attention on how I sit at my work place, on how my posture is in general, and I could easily have avoided all this problems by putting more attention on my wellbeing and by listening to my body. But with my lack of focus and attention on most areas in my life it is no wonder that I am poor listening to my body as well.

Finally I went to the physiotherapist today after consulting my doctor. I think I just got a last chance to get myself on the right track related to my body health. A last chance to listen to my body and correct all small steps I take daily.

I have always longed for a nice posture and to have a toned core muscles. But years of no attention to my body is hard to erase in a single move. I know I need to do some effort, and I will. It is not in my plans to face any health issues now or later. So while having the chance I will pay all my attention to my posture and train my core muscles which will make it easy to have the right posture.

So today's person of my choice is : Patanjali
...the compiler of the yoga sutras.

It is said that yoga is a good remedy against most health issues, so let today be in yogas name :)

Little about Patanjali.

Nice treats and forgiveness!

... And yes I went to zumba today as planned :)

It was good and fun dancing to some good music... I look forward to next Monday and Wednesday!!!

Today I went to the library right after the zumba class. I found some interesting books for the weekend relaxation and insight. A biography of today's person of my choice, an epic novel "Gates of Fire" about the battle of Thermopylae, and two books about drawng techniques.
Once I have read the biography and the novel, I will write how good they actually are...

For a week or so I really wanted to write down a list with all the good things I want to gift myself. I use to shop a lot, but I am very bad at shopping for wellness for myself. Easily few months or years can pass by before I step into any wellness centre to give myself a nice treat. Few months ago I got a wellness giftcard from my brother on my birthday and I went to one hour really nice hotstone massage and have forgot everything about wellness since that day.
So in this new year I have a plan to give myself nice treats like...
* a massage
* a facial
* a manicure & pedicure
...each month!

When calculating the cost it is an amount which most of us can afford. Still we neglect ourselves. But not anymore.

I like the old way of budgetting with coloured envelopes. So from this month end, coloured envelopes with money for the specific categories will be nicely arranged on the shelf. And a category will be "Treats for Sangee" to cover the above list :) wont it be nice?

Let me know if you people out there have some other better ideas to this category, then I will grab it right away!!

Today's person of my choice: Nelson Mandela
- He forgave those who had imprisoned him! And showed forgiveness and goodness to the world.

We all know that forgiving is not an easy task, but trying with very very small things may get us there to the level of forgiveness which Nelson Mandela practiced and talks about.
Practicing more forgiveness will bring more peace into this world! Indeed! No doubt there! And nothing can be questioned here!

35 tips from Robin S Sharma

Yes I went to yoga as written yesterday :)

Did lot of things today, and on the way to be accompanied by some sweet dreams...
Before that I really like to share what I received in a newsletter from Robin S Sharma today:
"35 fast tips to make this your best year yet"

I like everything on the list. As my cousin told me two days ago, it is easier when others do the lIst and I just have to follow it, then I save the time to be used thinking about what to be on the list lol.

"
1. Remember that the quality of your life is determined by the quality of your thoughts.
2. Keep the promises you make to others - and to yourself.
3. The project that most scares you is the project you need to do first.
4. Small daily improvements are the key to staggering long-term results.
5. Stop being busy being busy. This New Year, clean out the distractions from your work+life and devote to a monomaniacal focus on the few things that matter.
6. Read "The War of Art".
7. Watch "The Fighter".
8. In a world where technology is causing some of us to forget how to act human, become the politest person you know.
9. Remember that all great ideas were first ridiculed.
10. Remember that critics are dreamers gone scared.
11. Be "Apple-Like" in your obsession with getting the details right.
12. Take 60 minutes every weekend to craft a blueprint for the coming seven days. As Saul Bellow once said: "A plan relieves you of the torment of choice."
13. Release your need to be liked this New Year. You can't be a visionary if you long to be liked.
14. Disrupt or be disrupted.
15. Hire a personal trainer to get you into the best shape of your life. Superstars focus on the value they receive versus the cost of the service.
16. Give your teammates, customers and family one of the greatest gifts of all: the gift of your attention (and presence).
17. Every morning ask yourself: "How may I best serve the most people?"
18. Every night ask yourself: "What 5 good things happened to me this day?"
19. Don't waste your most valuable hours (the morning) doing low value work.
20. Leave every project you touch at work better than you found it.
21. Your job is not just to work. Your job is to leave a trail of leaders behind you.
22. A job is not "just a job". Every job is a gorgeous vehicle to express your gifts and talents - and to model exceptionalism for all around you.
23. Fears unfaced become your limits.
24. Get up at 5 am and take 60 minutes to prepare your mind, body, emotions and spirit to be remarkable during the hours that follow. Being a superstar is not the domain of the gifted but the prepared.
25. Write love letters to your family.
26. Smile at strangers.
27. Drink more water.
28. Keep a journal. Your life's story is worth recording.
29. Do more than you're paid to do and do work that leaves your teammates breathless.
30. Leave your ego at the door every morning.
31. Set 5 daily goals every morning. These small wins will lead to nearly 2000 little victories by the end of the year.
32. Say "please" and "thank you".
33. Remember the secret to happiness is doing work that matters and being an instrument of service.
34. Don't be the richest person in the graveyard. Health is wealth.
35. Life's short. The greatest risk is risk-less living. And settling for average.
"

I really like the one with writing love letters to your family ... Ha ha just imagine what one of your relatives face would look like receiving one love letter from you!! The person may think what or who changed you into such a nice person? Are you willing to take the risk and do it? ....I will post here one fine day what I did to follow that tip. :)

Today's person of my choice: Steven Pressfield for his book "The War of Art".
I only read reviews of the book after reading the above 35tips. I feel that everyone who help every single people to build a strong foundation to live a great life deserves to be the person of my choice.

Full of energy and a smiling face!

Hi all,
I hope you all enjoyed the pongal day yesterday. I had a wonderful day connecting with family and loved ones.

Today I feel little excited cause of all the energy I got from dancing to some really good music in the zumba class right after the work today. Also that it is the very first hour spent on fitness/gym category this year. :)

You may have experienced it, the good feeling of liking the fitness hour, whether it is a aerobic class, dance or jogging..whatever it could be. I only had the feeling after had been running for a while. When getting out to run, you will be smiling, and don't know the exact reason why you are smiling, and filled with joy start the jogging. After a very long time (having skipped the regular jogging for more than a year now) I had this great feeling after the zumba class today. Wonderful, I may admit. Still sitting here and having this smile on my face ha ha:)
It is true that you have more energy after such a nice experience.
Tomorrow yoga, and day after another zumba class. It is really nice starting to enjoy the fitness hours...I recall those years where I struggled through one aerobic class after another. Anyways time has changed. Now it is time to enjoy! I wish you all would experience same joy exercising, dancing, jogging whatever it could be.

Todays person of my choice: Wayne Dyer
I haven't heard about him till my sister posted a quote in one of my posts. He grew up in an orphanage. Now he is helping other people to get out of their obstacles they may face. This way of inspiring others inspired me to choose Wayne Dyer as today's person of my choice.
Some quotes...

Happy Pongal

Happy Pongal to everyone!!!

May this Pongal be one of the most prosperous one to you all...
I may say it is a good one, I got an indication of it in following way...
Few weeks ago I wanted to buy the red rice and other ingredients to be used to make a sweet pongal today. Last time when I had an opportunity to bring these special ingredients I happily forgot everything about the Pongal day.
And living little far away from Tamil shops, I also gave up trying to look for the items in other ethnic shops.
So I went to make kadalai only on this special day. But somehow, I didnt even think about getting little pongal in some ways, a box full of nice sweet pongal along with some banana came to my doors :)
I may say I was surprised what the Universe is able to send us. So I ended up eating sweet pongal, kadalai, banana and pomegranate at 12 noon :)
Can it be better??? I don't think so.
So here I got another sign that I am on the right track and frequency level. I am happy!!!

Enjoy your day!

Happiness according to Aristotle

Enjoy the weekend!!!

Today's person of my choice: Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC)

I wanted to read some of his writings and started with the free wikipedia.
Since secondary school, i havent been reading any writings by the Greek philosophers.

In the following link there is little more about what Aristotle considered as happiness. And the connection between happiness and virtue is also given. I didnt have time to go through the whole article, and may say it is bit risky to post something I havent read fully.
But I take a chance ...

Keep the child mind :)

Today's person of my choice: Enid Blyton
For her children books "the famous five" containing 21 books about 4 children and their dog.
I loved reading these books when I was little..that may be ages ago...lol
A thought came across to reread some of the good children books once again during this year.
Lets see what happens.

Keep the child mind and as a child with no worries about anything, show interest and curiosity towards exploring all areas you can ever imagine to get the fullest of your life.
Don't be too serious! Smile a lot!!!!!! :) :)

I was so close to skip today's post because of weekend. But I resisted the little temptation ha ha..

Enjoy your weekend:)

Feeling relief...

Time is 19.31 and I have almost done what I had plan to do this evening:
Cleaning and laundry...
I like to finish this kind of work day ahead the weekend, so the whole weekend can be spend on relaxation and entertainment. Normally hours use to fly away during the weekend hence it is really import to have some specific time schedule for the Saturdays and Sundays.
This year I have promised my self to get the most of the minutes and hours as possible. Lot of plans need to be executed to chase the dreams and activities for the 2012.
So today's video from Robin S. Sharma was absolutely a valuable one and I can recommend it!!!!
It is not new for anyone that people with plans do achieve most of their goals and dreams than those without any particular plans nor any specific thoughts about how to take themselves to their dream destination.
So it is definitely no wonder that I haven't reached my final destination yet. I never took time to plan anything. The only area I use to plan is when I travel. I can see that those planning has always given a feel of comfort and ease when being in totally new places.
So def. I need to take this planning more serious than what I have been doing all these years of my life.
I really look forward to see some more improvements in my life:)

Watch the video here (I havent figured out how to paste links using the ipad. When I paste the links, it is a dead link. Bear with it. I need to read a little on net about this issue)

Today's person of my choice: Auriela McCarthy
For her contribution to readers with her book: "The Power of the Possible"

In 2009 where I needed to get out of a box I have been closing myself into, this book really helped me to get out of the box. I believe that this book will touch your soul too!

I didn't know there is a blog concerning this. I found one just now when searching a link to paste into my post.

I may surf through it!!!:)

Enjoy the evening!

Being strong in Mind and Heart

Today's post is about being strong in mind and heart.
I was watching the television today and came across an interview where the host talks about how embarrassing people feel to be in the same room with people who is not mentally/physically well.
It brought me back to those days in primary school where we were the first coloured people in the school. We were chased for being different. I am not trying to say we were suffering that much as the disabled people but it was very close to.
So yes I can understand it a bit and can imagine some pictures for me of how those disabled people may feel.
But I also may admit that few times unconsiously I also could be able to take distance to disabled people, other coloured people etc. I may say I should be very embarassed now for those few times I didn't act any better than the average human being.
Be strong enough to talk to people who is different from ourselves is very tough. We keep us busy not to get involved with those people. What a pity. Ignorance is always a good excuse, isn't it?

Real strength is not about being a superman or woman. It is about the moment we do small actions which may bring great happiness to an individual. Most of the time we occupy ourselves with frightening or let me say limiting thoughts about what others may think if we talk to a person who is different from what is normally accepted in the environment we live in.

Being a coloured person living in a white society since my early childhood, I always have been thinking I'm different and does not belong to the society. But I never took any steps towards helping others who may feel in the same way cause of the same reasons as mine or other circumstances.

We keep ourselves busy and do not touch that particular area of ourselves which need to be strengthen. I wish I had made a difference earlier. But realising is never late.
Lot of years and chances are ahead of me to take great action on what I have been neglecting for years.
Now the question is do I have enough strength in mind and heart to not be a part of the daily day life and surroundings I have been witnessing so far in my life.
Small steps at a time, and everything should be possible. I do have great belief in this.

Will soon be updating how I have been acting in situations where ignorance has been the main key word so far.

Today's person of my choice: Deepak Chopra
Because he said beautifully: "The Law of Least Effort
Accept people, situations, and events as they occur. Take responsibility for your situation and for all events seen as problems. Relinquish the need to defend your point of view."
...in his book "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success".
I can recommend it and it is a tiny book which can be read within few hours.

How to get up early and some spiritual healing

Good evening all.

I hope you all had an amazing day so far. I would have preferred more energy but sometimes we dig into the less energitic days. I need to be fit soon. I haven't been exercising that much lately and I've started to feel the stomach getting bigger and bigger. Not that much of an exciting statement but sometimes it is good to get the facts on paper or better say the screen so I can pull myself together to get in shape and be fit also.

I'm sitting on my couch with my new iPad and trying to type today's post. Just need to get used to the keys, otherwise getting typed the letters quite fast I may admit.
When i bought I had my doubts but I also knew that the iPad will make my blogging much easier.
For a very long time I had this wish to go to a coffeeshop all alone. I only use to go to the coffeeshops with my friends. But the idea going to a coffee shop all alone (not those Tim Horton's ones as in Canada) but some really cosy ones and read a book and sip a cappucino and the energy from the environment would be so nice. However I never made my wish into reality. When buying the iPad I've promised myself to go alone to these nice coffee shops and blog, read, watch or do whatever is possible on the internet and with an iPad and sip a cappucino.
Sitting here in my couch with this little thing make me feel that this year would invite me to lot of coffeeshops, no doubt about it!

For a week ago or so I've subscribed to emails from Robin S Sharma. Today I got an video about how to make this year the best and simple tips on how to get to our goals.
Today's video was about getting up early. I am not that good getting up early. If I don't have any specific purpose I would be sleeping for hours. I need some kind of motivation to get up early. For a half an year or so I used to get uo early and be at work around 7 am in the morning (having breakfast at home:). Few days I also had been running 5km in the morning before getting to work. That was an "kanaa kaalam" lol. (Kanaa kaalam = dreamy time)
See this video and try to get up early too. I will try to make this waking up at 5am a habit this year. So many things can be done during the day. Wow!!! I wish I will be able to do it starting from tomorrow.

Dream!

Dear All,

Thanks for keep visiting my Thoughts and encouraging me to continue typing my Thoughts on this page.

Today I have chosen a subject to write few lines about. And it is: How important it is to dream - small or big does not matter. Be able to and have the will to dream is what does really matter in our lives!

When things take place in front of us, it is said that it is happening for the second time. The very first time an event happens, it takes place in our mind. Lot of books do talk about this particular subject, so I don't want to get deeper into this subject. You can get books and videos on this subject if you really are interested and want to know more about it. Check the links on this page to the right. Also some authors are mentioned here. And search the Internet on this particular subject.

If all event take place in our mind  before it really happens in front of us, it makes sense that we should watch our thoughts. From ancient wisdom till today's therapists all advise us to think positively in every aspects of our lives.
We are all not privileged being born or being raised up in an utmost positive environment. Circumstances and incidents let us all feel the less brighter side of the life once or more in our lifetime.
However, that we are capable of resisting the less brighter circumstances and keep our positive spirit on the right track is really important to determine what is going to happen next in our lives. We can not be 100% positive. I can not. Admitted. Despite I really want to be positive most of the time.
If I can be aware of my thoughts when a particular less positive thought enters my mind, I've done half of the job to eliminate the less positive thought. The other half would be to replace the less positive thought with a more positive one. Or just not have any thought at all!
Sometimes it is hard to put a positive thought into our mind. Circumstances can be so tough that we feel more ease by being surrounded by self pity: How little justice we get, How little love we get in return, How little people really understand us, How less the world like us. There are plenty of reasons we can put up front and we just are too lazy to get ourselves out from these meaningless and let me say really really nonsense way of thinking.
But sometimes we allow these thoughts to get into us, and by being aware at the moment these thoughts enter our mind and decide that we don't want this kind of thoughts into our mind, we have done half of the job on the journey to be more positive.

Replacing is hard, but with little exercise it should be possible. I always think about the most wonderful and amazing times in my life, with the love felt within my heart. Nothing can beat that feeling. When you are really happy you will feel a kind of love within you that is so special, that you can recall the feeling whenever you want to be happy again.
Whenever my mood beg me hardly to be surrounded by less positive thoughts and self pity  I use to recall those wonderful moments.
Especially those wonderful bike rides in the nature during the Spring 2009 fill me with a really good feeling which always make me smile and recall all the pictures of the flowers, people, nature I use to pass by in sunshine, rain or in a tough windy day :) I love those pictures in my mind.

What is your pictures? Recall now and get a smile and a really good feel of love within you.
And it is possible to switch your mood to a better one. The decision is yours. Always yours, remember!

Once we have opened our doors for better and more positive thoughts we can start dreaming. Dream big. I Love to dream big, and within me I know for sure I deserve all what I dream about and that it will come in even a better way than how I use to think of. It is said that when having the right feel of love within us, when we dream, we manifest the particular dream into our life so easily. One day ago I wrote that Napolean Hill said: "You need to deeply desire the goal" remember? Why do you think prayers have infinitely power to give you what you ask for? Simply because you deep within yourself desires what you ask for. Remember this!
So start dreaming, big or small. Make it into a habit to dream everyday about what you really want your life to be and take steps towards your goals. You will need to do some work on the way to your goals. Nothing can be achieved by sitting in front of the TV and just pray. Dream and Pray then definitely a person or circumstances will come your way to fulfill your dream. You will just need to be aware and you will have to grab the opportunity when it comes.

Watch this song (with English subtitles) and let your self be in the present. Tomorrow is only a dream, Do remember it always, however allow yourself to dream!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4qwxW7lhn0&feature=related
Being in the present is another subject I will write about soon :)

"Naalai verum kanavu athai naan ean napamanum? Naan naddathum roja inrey pookanum"
The latter part is equal to have believe in your dream at the moment you dream it. And it will manifests.
"100 kanavugal kandaaleay, 6 kanavugal palikkaatha.." :)
Just another amazing line I use to tell people when talking about dreams.

Enjoy the song! Enjoy the beauty of the scenes, lines and not least Aishwariya Rai for her stunning beauty! :)
